On the 14th, Magda Butrym presented her first fashion show in New York, bringing her distinctive vision of modern femininity to one of the world’s most important fashion capitals. The collection feels unmistakably Magda sensual yet sophisticated, romantic but never overly delicate, with strong silhouettes balanced by soft fabrics, pearls, lace and fluid draping.
What I particularly appreciate about Magda Butrym is the way she creates clothes that feel feminine without being predictable. Her designs often play with contrasts strength and softness, structure and movement, sensuality and elegance. She takes familiar elements such as lace, pearls, tailored outerwear or satin and gives them a distinctly contemporary attitude.
